1. Verbinden Sie sich per Konsole mit dem Switch und geben den Befehl diagnostic ein.

1) Connect to the switch from the command line and enter the command diagnostic.
2. Geben Sie den Befehl veriphy x ein, wobei x für die Port-Nummer steht (in diesem Beispiel 2) Enter the command veriphy x where x stands for the port number (in this example veriphy 7).

- An dem Kabel muss ein Gerät angeschlossen sein. Ansonsten wird der Link Status als Link Down und als Test Result die Meldung The cable must be connected to a device. Otherwise the Link Status is displayed as Link Down and the Test Result shows the message detect error or check cable length is between 7 -– 120 meters ausgegeben.Der Kabel-Test darf nicht für das Kabel ausgeführt werden, über welches das Webinterface administriert wird.
- Do not perform the test. Ansonsten wird der Link Status korrekt angezeigt (z.B. 1G) und als Test Result die Meldung for the cable used to manage the web interface. Otherwise the Link Status will be displayed correctly (e.g. 1G) and the Test Result shows the message detect error or check cable length is between 7 -– 120 meters ausgegeben.

- OK – The wire pair is OK. If the status of all wire pairs is OK, the cable is OK for use.
- Open – A pair of wires is open and therefore the cable is faulty.
- Short – There is a short circuit in the wire pair and therefore the cable is faulty.
- Cross – A wire is connected to a wire from another wire pair and the cable is therefore faulty
- OK - Das Adernpaar ist in Ordnung. Wenn der Status aller Adernpaare auf OK steht, ist das Kabel somit in Ordnung.
- Open - Ein Adern-Paar ist offen und somit das Kabel fehlerhaft.
- Short - Es besteht ein Kurzschluss im Adernpaar und somit ist das Kabel fehlerhaft.
- Cross - Eine Ader ist mit einer Ader aus einem anderen Adernpaar verbunden und das Kabel somit fehlerhaft.

2. Wählen Sie bei Interface den Port aus, an dem das Kabel angeschlossen ist und klicken auf ) Select the Interface that the cable is connected to and click Test Cable.

- Open – No cable is connected or the connector is faulty. It is also possible that a wire pair is open and the cable is therefore faulty.
- Open and Short – There is a short circuit in the cable and the cable is therefore faulty.
- Cable status test failed – The cable test could not be executed
- Normal - Das Kabel ist in Ordnung und es ist ein Gerät angeschlossen.
- Open - Es ist kein Kabel angeschlossen oder der Stecker ist fehlerhaft. Ebenfalls kann es sein, dass ein Adernpaar offen und somit das Kabel defekt ist.
- Open and Short - Es liegt ein Kurzschluss im Kabel vor und das Kabel ist somit fehlerhaft.
- Cable status test failed - Der Kabel-Test konnte nicht ausgeführt werden.
