Requirements:

• Auf dem Switch muss LLDP dot3 auf den Ports aktiv sein, da LCOS LX nur diese Option unterstützt. LLDP-Med kann für die Aushandlung nicht verwendet werden.

PoE-Aushandlung per LLDP nach 802.3at mit maximal 30 Watt Strombedarf:

Im Folgenden wird exemplarisch anhand eines LX-6400 (Strombedarf von 25,5 W) und eines Cisco Switches mit 802.3at Support die Ablauffolge der LLDP-Aushandlung für PoE mit einem Strombedarf von maximal 30 W dargestellt. Der Switch kann den Strombedarf also voll bedienen. 

• LLDP dot3 must be active on the switch ports, as LCOS LX only supports tis option. LLDP-Med cannot be used for the negotiation.

PoE negotiation via LLDP with 802.3at support and a maximum power requirement of 30 Watt:

As an example, the PoE negotiation process via LLDP between an LX-6400 (power requirement of 25,5 W) and a Cisco switch with 802.3at Support and a maximum power requirement of 30 W is shown below. Therefore the switch can completely fullfill the power requirement.

5. Anschließend tauschen der Access Point und der Switch im Abstand von drei (Access Point) bzw. zwei Sekunden (Switch) LLDP-Pakete zwecks Keepalive aus.

PoE-Aushandlung per LLDP nach 802.3at mit maximal 60 Watt Strombedarf:

Im Folgenden wird exemplarisch anhand eines LX-6500 (Strombedarf von 51 W) und eines Cisco Switches mit 802.3at Support die Ablauffolge der LLDP-Aushandlung für PoE mit einem Strombedarf von maximal 60 W dargestellt. Der Switch kann den Strombedarf also nicht voll bedienen.
