Description:
It is possible to extend the number of interfaces for the vRouter , the ISG-5000 and the ISG-8000 (for the vRouter in the VM and for the ISG-5000 and ISG-8000 via additional Hardware modules). Thereby some peculiarities have to be considered when these devices are a vRouter is operated in the LANCOM Management Cloud (LMC).

If a vRouter, ISG-5000 or ISG-8000 is already connected to the LMC and the number of interfaces is changed subsequently, afterwards the configuration cannot be rolled out to the router vRouter via the LMC. In this case, the affected router vRouter has to be removed from the LMC and has to be newly integrated.
Preconfiguration of a vRouter

in the LMC:
The LMC has a template for a default configuration with a fixed number of interfaces for the vRouter, the ISG-5000 and ISG-8000. Therefore a preconfiguration can only be created with this default configuration. A preconfiguration with a deviating number of interfaces is not possible.

The vRouter deployment wizard creates two interfaces in the default configuration.
Default number of interfaces for an ISG-5000:
An ISG-5000 has 8 interfaces in the default configuration (6 Gigabit Ethernet Ports and 2 SFP+ Ports with 10 Gigabit).
Default number of interfaces for an ISG-8000:
An ISG-8000 has 10 interfaces in the default configuration (8 Gigabit Ethernet Ports and 2 SFP+ Ports with 10 Gigabit).
