Description:

This document describes how to correctly reset a LANCOM Wireless ePaper Display to its factory settings. These procedures are also described in the Wireless ePaper Server manual in chapter 2.5.3.

The ePaper server was discontinued in January 2024 (End of Sale).Therefore LANCOM Systems will not provide support for new installations of the ePaper server. LANCOM Systems will provide support for existing ePaper server installations up to and including January 2026.



Requirements:

  • Installed and licensed LANCOM Wireless ePaper Server as of version 1.4 (download latest version)
  • LANCOM Wireless ePaper access point
  • Unlock & registration code for the relevant display. If you no longer have the unlock code, please contact LANCOM Support.
Procedures



Procedure:

Variant 1: The display is paired with the ePaper server that it was originally registered with:

1.1) Click on

the

the gear-wheel icon in the upper-right corner and select the menu item Reset.

1.2) In this menu, enter the unlock code enclosed with your Wireless ePaper Display.


Variant 2: The display is not paired with the ePaper server that it was originally registered with and should be registered with another server:

If

a

display is to be reset after being paired with another Wireless ePaper Server, please proceed as follows:

2.1) Register the display using the enclosed registration code on the (new) Wireless ePaper Server.

2.2) After successfully registering a display, click on the gear-wheel icon in the upper-right corner and select the menu item Reset.

2.3) In this menu, enter the unlock code enclosed with your Wireless ePaper Display.

2.4) Register the display again on the (new) Wireless ePaper Server using the enclosed registration code.
