Description:

Basic and Full licenses for LANCOM R&S®Unified Firewalls can be created in the versions 10.x and 11.x. These have differences regarding the software compatibility:

  • License 10.x:
A license issued for version 10.x can be used with LCOS FX 10.x (e.g. 10.13) as well as with LCOS FX 11.x (e.g. 11.1). The compatibility to LCOS FX 11.1 is ensured for an upgrade as well as for a new installation.
  • License 11.x:
A license issued for version 11.x can only be used with LCOS FX 11.x (e.g. 11.1).

Recommendation:

In general, when LCOS FX as of version 11.x is used, a license in version 11.x should be used.
