Description:
LANtracer is a component of the LCMS. LANtracer creates a support configuration file that contains all of the information that is relevant for product support:
- Current device configuration
- Bootlog
- Sysinfo
LANtracer is started either from LANconfig or LANmonitor. When saving the device configuration, you can conceal all of the security-related information that is of no relevance to support.

Procedure:
1) Starting LANtracer in LANconfig and LANmonitor:
1.1) To start LANtracer from LANconfig or LANmonitor, right-click on the device and select Create trace output from the context menu.

2) Generating a support configuration file:
2.1) In the Extras menu, select the item Miscellaneous settings.

2.2) On the Support configuration file tab, select the security-related data that should be hidden in the file. The option Hide passwords is activated by default.

2.3) To store the support configuration file, click on File → Save support configuration.

2.4) Select the storage location and change the file name if necessary.
The support configuration file should not be loaded onto the device as a configuration file!
