As of LCOS version 8.84, LANCOM WLAN routers and access points support Adaptive Noise Immunity (ANI) to compensate for interference on the wireless network. This document describes how Adaptive Noise Immunity operates and how to set up the feature in the configurations of LANCOM WLAN routers and access points.
Adaptive Noise Immunity is a part of the LANCOM Active Radio Control (ARC)  .

Adaptive Noise Immunity:
A wireless LAN can be subjected to interference from various sources. Devices such as microwave ovens or cordless phones interfere with data transmission, and even the network devices themselves can emit interference and hinder communications.
Each type of interference has its own characteristics. Adaptive Noise Immunity (ANI) enables the access point to use various error conditions to determine the best way to compensate for the interference.
By automatically increasing noise immunity, the size of the radio cell can be reduced to mitigate the impact of interference on the data transfer.
Information:
Adaptive Noise Immunity only operates in the 2.4-GHz band.
Since Adaptive Noise Immunity contributes to the optimization of the WLAN, the feature in the menu Configuration -> Wireless LAN -> General -> Physical WLAN settings -> Radio is enabled by default.
If you do not want to use Adaptive Noise Immunity, set the value to Off.
