Description:
As of LCOS LX version 6.14 REL there are improvements in the PoE power management of the LANCOM LX-6500(E) for PoE operation according to IEEE 802.3at. This document describes the changes that have been made.
Requirements:
PoE-Power Management up to LCOS LX 6.12:
- Operation with power supply:
- No limitations
- No limitations
- PoE in accordance with IEEE 802.3bt:
- No limitations
- No limitations
- PoE in accordance with IEEE 802.3at:
- The 6 GHz module of the access point is switched off.
- The 6 GHz module of the access point is switched off.
- PoE in accordance with IEEE 802.3af:
The 6 GHz module of the access point is switched off.
- The 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz modules are only operated with 2x2 MIMO.
- The Ethernet is limited to max. 1 GBit/s.
PoE-Power Management as of LCOS LX 6.14:
- Operation with power supply:
- No limitations
- No limitations
- PoE in accordance with IEEE 802.3bt:
- No limitations
- No limitations
- PoE in accordance with IEEE 802.3at:
The 2.4 GHz module is operated with 2x2 MIMO.
The 5 GHz and 6 GHz modules are operated with 4x4 MIMO.
The physical interface ETH-1 is operated at 2.5 GBit/s.
The physical interface ETH-2 is operated at 100 MBit/s.
The USB interface is deactivated.
- The BLE function can be used.
- The Wireless ePaper function can be used with the LANCOM LX-6500E.
Due to the diverging port speeds (ETH-1 - 2,5 GBit und ETH-2 - 100 MBit) LACP cannot be used in such a scenario!
- PoE in accordance with IEEE 802.3af:
The 6 GHz module of the access point is switched off.
- The 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz modules are only operated with 2x2 MIMO.
- The Ethernet is limited to max. 1 GBit/s.
