Description:
A firmware update from LCOS LX 6.14 RU1 to LCOS LX 6.20 Rel won't work on an LW-600. An error message is displayed, when performing an update via the LMC or via WEBconfig, but not when an update is performed via LANconfig.
Error message when performing an update via the LMC:
When trying to perform an update via the LMC from LCOS LX 6.14 RU1 to LCOS LX 6.20 Rel, the update is shown as successful. In the Device log the error message CONTENT_INVALID is displayed.
No error message when performing an update via LANconfig:
When trying to perform an update via LANconfig from LCOS LX 6.14 RU1 to LCOS LX 6.20 Rel, the update is shown as successful.
Error message when performing an update via WEBconfig:
When trying to perform an update via LANconfig from LCOS LX 6.14 RU1 to LCOS LX 6.20 Rel, the error message Error - no data is displayed.
Solution:
A direct update from LCOS LX 6.14 RU1 to LCOS LX 6.20 Rel is not possible on an LW-600. The converter firmware 6.14 RU2 must be installed beforehand, to modify the partitioning of the flash memory.
LCOS LX 6.14 RU2 is available via the download area as well as via the update tool in the LMC.
