Description:
As of LCOS FX 10.13 RC1 it is possible to install Release Candidate versions via the online updater instead reinstalling the Unified Firewall via the ISO file. It is also possible to perform an update from the Release Candidate to the Release firmware, when it is released.
This article describes the required steps to perform a firmware update to a Release Candidate on a Unified Firewall via the online updater.
Requirements:
- Configured and functional Internet connection
- Web browser to configure the Unified Firewall
The following web browsers are supported:- Google Chrome
- Chromium
- Mozilla Firefox
Procedure:
1. Wechseln Sie im Webinterface der Unified Firewall in das Menü Firewall → Updates-Einst..
2. Wechseln Sie in den Reiter Einstellungen und tragen bei Update-Server die folgende URL ein. Klicken Sie anschließend auf das "Plus-Zeichen", damit die URL übernommen wird.

3. Wechseln Sie anschließend zurück in den Reiter Updates und klicken auf die Schaltfläche Updates-Liste aktualisieren.
4. Wählen Sie den Release Candidate aus und klicken auf Installieren.
