Description:

As a software solution the vRouter doesn't have a reset button. Therefore the vRouter configuration can only be reset via the CLI. For this purpose, the vRouter must be accessible via the CLI.

This article describes, how the vRouter configuration can be deleted.

A password must be assigned to the vRouter and known to the user so that a reset can be performed.

Requirements:

  • vRouter with LCOS as of version 10.50 (download latest version
  • SSH client for accessing the CLI (e.g. PuTTY)
  • The vRouter must be accessible via the VGA console of the Hypervisor or via SSH

Procedure:

Reset the vRouter to default settings:

Connect to the vRouter with the VGA console of the Hypervisor or via SSH and enter the command do /other/reset. Acknowledge the query by entering the main device password.

When resetting the device all configuration elements including the main device password and created certificates are deleted.


Deleting the vRouter configuration and retaining the main device password and certificates:

Connect to the vRouter with the VGA console of the Hypervisor or via SSH and enter the command default -r in the root directory.
