LANCOM LX-7300 / LX-7500:
If you operate an LX-7300 / LX-7500 access point with PoE, the IEEE standard 802.3bt must be used in order to utilize the full functionality of the device.
PoE operation with IEEE 802.3at is possible. However, the following functions are restricted:
- In the 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz bands only one stream is available.
- The USB interface is disabled.
LANCOM Systems therefore recommends using a LANCOM managed switch, which supports the PoE standard IEEE 802.3bt (e.g. the GS-3652XUP). In case this is not possible, the LANCOM PoE++ Injector must be used.
The operation with IEEE 802.3af is not possible. During the PoE negotiation via LLDP the switch can initially assign only 13 W to the access point (802.3af) and the access point requests the power actually needed via LLPD afterwards.
