Description:
The LANCOM SFP-CO10-MG is a 10G multi Gigabit Ethernet Copper module. Due to the increased power consumption and the resulting heat generation, there are restrictions regarding the maximum allowed number of these modules in the different LANCOM switch series.
The cable length can be up to 30 m when using CAT6A cables. If cables of lower categories are used, shorter link length are to be expected.
Using third-party SFP modules and Direct Attach Cables (DAC) with LANCOM switches may cause interference, especially with the PoE functionality. LANCOM Systems therefore recommends to only use LANCOM SFP modules and DACs and explicitly advises against using third-party modules. In addition, LANCOM Systems will not provide support in configurations with third-party modules.
